This is the official website of Wolverhampton Municipal Grammar School Old Pupils Association
In June 1992, the Wolverhampton Municipal Grammar School Old Pupils Association was officially formed. It is open to all ex-members and staff of what was the Municipal Secondary School (1921-1945) and Municipal Grammar School (1945-1974).
Even 34 years after the Muni was transferred to Colton Hills and the old school transformed into an adult education centre, the membership stands at 302 ( August 2008).
In 2003, an exhibition was held to celebrate '50 Years of Memories' and there were many displays showing how the school was down the years, through the different Headships of S T Baker, R R Stephens and G J Douel - the last Headmaster of the Muni before it closed on 1974. Today, the school buildings are still being well used, as part of the University of Wolverhampton. Former school classrooms adjacent to the Music Room are currently housing Wolverhampton Community Radio.
